A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms
In ProductionBased on George R. R. Martin's Dunk and Egg novellas, set roughly a century before Game of Thrones. Follows Ser Duncan the Tall and his squire Egg as they travel through Westeros. Season 2 began filming in December 2025 and wrapped in June 2026.
The Dunk and Egg novellas (The Hedge Knight, The Sworn Sword, The Mystery Knight) were published between 1998 and 2010. They are George R. R. Martin's most beloved works after the main series, known for their lighter tone and deep lore about the Targaryen dynasty a century before Robert's Rebellion.
Shogun
RenewedBased on James Clavell's novel. Set in feudal Japan, the series follows English ship pilot John Blackthorne's collision with the powerful Lord Toranaga and the ambitious Lady Mariko. Season 1 was a critical and commercial phenomenon.
James Clavell's 1975 novel is a fictionalized account of the rise of shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu, drawing from the real story of English navigator William Adams, who became a samurai under Ieyasu. The 1980 miniseries adaptation was a global phenomenon. The 2024 adaptation updates the storytelling with a Japanese perspective and authentic period detail.

The English Peasants' Revolt of 1381 was one of the most significant popular uprisings in medieval England. Led by Wat Tyler and inspired by the preacher John Ball, thousands of commoners marched on London, demanding an end to serfdom and the poll tax. The revolt was ultimately crushed, but it changed the course of English social history and remains a potent symbol of resistance against oppression.
